I'd seen this Mustrat swimming in the TRNWR trench a couple of weeks ago, but caught it out of water a couple of days ago. Now that's a big rat! :-) It didn't seem to mind me being around. It even took time to leisurely scratch it's side with its rear foot while I was shooting it.Correction: It appears this is actually a Nutria.

ReplyDeletemight wanna fix the text, label, page title for this since it is coming up high in google searches for muskrat, and is, as pointed out, actually a nutria. people are ignorant enough about nature without being mislead.
