I saw several Yellow-rumped Warblers yesterday, but couldn't get a clear shot of any of them. Just enough parts from behind branches to identify them. Since today was another nice day, I decided to make quick trip to see if I could be more successful. Turned out I got two good pictures of this one, each about the same pose. Their markings vary from season to season and from region of the country, so it took me a bit to be sure I identified it right. As I kid, we would have called these Myrtle Warblers.
