Today was my first full day visiting my sister Kathy to celebrate her 50th birthday. While we were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, I spent some time now and then taking some pictures around their homestead. I found a couple of Chipping Sparrows in a tree in the SE corner that must have had a nest as they were there every time passed the the tree. They made an interesting quiet "chip" sound.Update: Looking at this picture a little more closely, I believe this is a juvenile based on the soft looking corners of its beak.
